So if you bothered to read my previous Blog on Remapping the Triumph Speed Triple 1050R with ABS, i have used Alientech Powergate 4 as the read tool, mainly because i am an agent for Alientech but also for the features it offers now and in the future! These will include the Powergate turning into a scan/diagnostic tool and also it will be a virtual Dyno based off the fact it has GPS built in already (this is already live on the main units) so after a couple of failed reads via the App, the bike actually did an ID under the RS version and 2018 (this one is 2016) but wouldn’t do a read of the file, a couple of calls to Alientech and in particular ‘Fabio’ who is the tech chief there, 2 x updates later and a read file was got! This is the sort of backup that’s worth paying extra for! This was my point about using Alientech in the first place, TuneECU is very capable for the Triumph but the backup is relying on a group of forum members, hence this choice.
So just to prove that it all works i have added my original read file, but not only that i have made a working Mappack for WinOLS which i will share gladly with anyone that wants it! It is fairly basic at present, it includes injection, timing, rev limits, throttle opening, lambda etc, i need to find a few other maps to switch SAI off and Lamba delete, once i have done that i will update it and then also offer a Stg1 tune as well, absolutely free to all!
