Two jobs today at the same location! This one being a Ford Fiesta ST 2019 Ecoboost, a 1.0L 3 cylinder engine producing 125hp as standard.
So if you know these engines, they have had many revisions but always responded well to remapping! Originally they came in 80hp, 100hp and 125hp variants which all remapped up to 145hp, so if you had bought the 80hp version you were on to a proper winner!
Nowadays Ford have actually realised they are missing out on the remap game and started offering them direct from the point of sale (a well known company does this for them) however! They are far from perfect or pushing the motors anywhere near what they were tested too.
So with our remap stg1 applied to this Fiesta i would expect at least 145hp which isn’t a massive gain but mid range torque (which is what you use the majority of time) increases by a fair amount, about 40nm in fact, this being a fairly light weight car means the increase in performance is noticeable from the offset.
For the gains got and money spent there is no better way than to have your car remapped by a reputable company, there are other options of course, this owner wanting an exhaust on it next and with my knowledge i recommended Collins Performance in Congleton, having worked with them for years (about 30!) i doubt you will find better in the UK (mention my name to get discount) All in all a happy customer, because there were 2 jobs at the same location i also did a very good discount!
